Looking for a riding buddy or group in Phoenix

I'm visiting AZ from Dec 29 to Jan 10 and will be staying in Gilbert. I'm planning on checking out South Mountain (mormon & national), as well as Hawes but I'm open to other recommendations as well. I'm hoping to tag along with someone or a group. If anyone is free to show me some of the lines down these trails please send me a message. Thanks!

Share a bit about your riding ability. How long do you want to ride, miles, elevation you can handle. There might be folks doing some of the areas epics like Picket to Kelvin, Black Canyon Trail, ... around that time too.

I will likely be riding Hawes around that time you are in town.

Good point, I should've added all that stuff to my original post.

I'm from Southern California and I'd say I ride at an intermediate level. Most of my rides are down black diamond trails (although rating is subjective). A typical ride would be somewhere from 7-10 miles long, but longer rides are fine depending on terrain. My riding preference is mainly all mountain, although I do enjoy some xc riding as well.

You shouldn't have a problem finding people to ride with around Hawes, South Mountain, etc. I'll be out during that time, both solo rides and with a group, so just post when you're here and we'll you get you out.

I think I'll just tag along to this thread. I'm from out of town as well in Phoenix until the 6th of January. I've ridden a decent amount around Phoenix & Area. Anyone planning any big rides this weekend? Maybe Sedona? I'd certainly be keen to get out with a group ride. Intermediate-Advanced rider from Canada.
