Local Erik Nelson, 2nd place UCI Angelfire 4X

I thought you guys should know we have a local ripper that got second in mountain cross at angelfire this weekend. Erik Nelson is a 19 year old sophmore at NAU and needless to say he rips. He has been racing on a bumb ankle and is still smoking fast. This race was only his second pro mountain cross race!

    Just a little heads up.

Erik is an awesome racer and a very nice kid. It looks like they messed up the results because USA Cycling has him finishing 18th, not 2nd. FYI - http://www.usacycling.org/results/in...&info_id=13095

On a side note, Melissa Buhl from Chandler, AZ pulled out another victory on the Women's 4X.

There were two MTX races at the Chile. The UCI event was the one that Erik got 2nd in and was on the 24th. He got 18th in the National Championship race on the 25th. Both are posted.

Lol trust me we have been looking for a spot

BTW one of our local NRA rippers did their first DH race at Angelfire and got 6th in expert 19-24 with a OTB crash.

Ya and he wanted to race the sport class to, but was talked out of that. If he didn't OTB'd he would've been in the 5's. Hes a fast MOFO, eats to many OREO's. Later.
