Gotta love the alpine horn, one of the weirder things I have seen on SoMo

The horn made it a surreal dropin to Geronimo.

I think DooDoo needs a horn like that. He can commence each ride with it.

Nasty crash indeed. I think he thought he was dropping into a half pipe. It still makes me want to get a FR bike...eventually. Nice vid 6.

Did that helmet bumper sticker at 2:10 say "fukc your car" or was I mistaken? Did he drive there then shuttle to the top? ;-) Oh snap.

Too bad I didn't snap a pic of the helmet cam setup.

Or the look on his face when you started taping it to his helmet.

I shouldn't speak ill of Marzocchi, or my shock is going to blow up on me.

    That sounds like my Risse.

Or Hanebrink, who used Coffin struts for damper cartridges (seriously).

I was asking because a lot of people think you need a big DH bike for South and that's not the case. So if he has a smaller bike, he can still do shuttles.

Shouldn't you be matching your gloves and jersey's for this weekend?

    Hate to do this...

Anyone have either a 25.4 diameter riser bar or a 31.8 stem/bar combo they'd be willing to let go cheap?

The bar/stem setup on Sparkle Pony needs to go.

    Haha.
    I can believe it.

On the first run down Geronimo, I almost ate $hit near the top, just going way too fast. Love the feeling you get when you somehow pull it off and keep going.

Nope, I just bought a 1.5 / 31.8 Race Face D2 yesterday for Sluggo2. Oh yeah, its 0 rise, which just looks weird.

The bar it came with, that old Azonic, has the double wall sleeve, which doesn't allow you to run the brakes as far inboard as they need to be. Plus...that bar is pretty old and jacked, it should probably be replaced.

I have a Race Face Diabolus stem, but its 25.4. So, I need to either replace both the bar and stem, or just the bar.

Cheap, wide and strong are what I'm looking for. Weight is definitely not a concern.

Those Gusset's are sweet, but too narrow for me.

Stopped at Rage last night. Picked up a Deity Dirty Thirty bar and a Deity stem. 30" bars are a trip!

Haven't ridden them yet, but I can tell they are going to be sweet.

    They already are

Also putting the Hayes Strokers from the Glory onto the Pony, then putting the Codes on the Glory.

I was thinking of putting the Deity's on the Glory, but since I'm pedaling that bike around, I think they would be a bit too wide. We'll see though, if I like them, I might get another one.

No Pump Track? Bummer. Thanks for the heads up!

The Karpiel needed new bars - the old Azonic's were old and had this funky sleeve which prevented me from running the brakes in the proper position (inboard for one-finger braking). Also, I had a 25.4 stem that prevented me from running any of the bars I had. Since I was already spending the money on a new stem, I figured why not go with the 30's.

I think on a bike as big as the Karpiel they will be awesome. With the Stroker's, I should be set.

Hopefully Karpiel will start making those soon.

But I'm not too concerned about it, since I have the Glory.

I might do a pedal up the road and down Geronimo to give the new bars a ride Sunday. Otherwise, I don't think I'll last another week

Wish I had the money, I'd buy that monster from you. Seeing you ride it made me long for a DH hardtail again.

Before you sell it or disassemble it, I totally need a run on the mountain!

Next time we ride your more than welcome to take it out, I am not gonna do anything with it for a while.

It is a destroyer, and would probably be awesome for real dirt trails, but on the rocks its just harsh like Georgia Moon. I honestly didn't think there would be a bike stiffer than the Morphine, but that thing is

    Definitely a destroyer.

I'd wait until you can get a run or two on it at Candy/Flag then make up your mind. I think it would be much better up there.

It might be time again soon for some of the Moon!

Not enough praying in the world...

The Ukrainians have the right idea.

None of this "oh, will these super light tires match my seatpost?"
Just hucking the gnar on a bike that is probably ready to come apart at any moment

I see nothing wrong with this.

    "style" is overrated.

He's landing just above the bottom of the picture.
He is wearing a pressure suit, with a hoodie over it.

The video is awesome. He ragdolls pretty good...but then he tries it again and sticks it.

His backflips off drops are sick.
