I just read that Doug from Fountain Hills bike shop passed away

I spent 5 of the last 6 years in Phoenix Learning to mountain bike in the desert. I thought the McDowell mountain night series was one of my favorite Things about My time in Arizona. This guy will be missed. Prayers sent.

Meet Doug quickly a while back at the Fountain Hills shop when I stopped in to pickup some stuff and talked to him for like 15 minutes. Remember saying to myself as I was leaving what a hell of a nice/great person!

Stunning news about a really nice man. Ate way too many of his brats. RIP Doug.

The final summer night ride for this season is Sept 15, expect there to be some sort of memorial event for Doug. Should be a big showing for that ride....

The final summer night ride will be moved one week to September 22. This will allow more time for planning and preparation. This will also avoid conflict with InterBike allowing any bicycle industry friend to attend the ride. See separate post specific to the ride plans.
