Damn! I read the title and thought this would be some kind of RAD bike event full of Faulknerian idiots on bikes, whiskey and severe depression (both financial and mental).

Instead, it's just a bunch of Type-A jerkoff's fresh out of their "nine to five" dental practice offices in NoSco; utterly unable to change a flat and expecting a full tune up at area shops at 4:45pm on a Friday.

Based on this, I've reached the inevitable conclusion that my path in life is a dead-end....I'm just going to ride by bike away from home and follow the carnival in search of something I know not yet...

^ Faulknerian idiot exhibit #1. Slightly aware of their shortcomings, evidenced by an incestual genesis and inability to contribute much within polite society....hides within an obscure family of marginal miscreants barely scraping by....plundering whatever windfall caught with ignorance and impulsive mediocrity. Compensates with reckless hubris and a thick veneer of the muck that they shovel and coats their barnyard boots....boots which are cleaned but once a year when moma insists on the Easter Sunday service....a poor attempt at validating their place within society...a society that tolerates their presence within the confines of the lords house, but for one day....

....the animals at night after the service are restless within the confines of the feeding pasture for which they are brought to each evening....the lone sheep, especially so....

you have to admire Mrwhlr tenacity in the face of getting utterly and totally pwnd. Hat tip to Maad for stylistically appropriate and intellectually accurate reply.

No worries: ) I figured you didn't know. But I did learn there was an American writer and Nobel Prize laureate named Faulkner that I assumed due to your writing background that you were referring to.

Of course. Can't apologize with that ego. Noble inaction instead. Delicious!

You wanna blabber about nerd books instead of make up with Blatant? Could negatively impact your health .

Lifting up blatant's mom's skirt while she irons my shirts has become a source of comfort,(yes the spark is gone) but there's no pressure. It's like comfort food. All she wants is to hand me one of her sandwiches on my way out. She's happy, I'm happy. The fact that little blatant doesn't accept this arrangement will serve him well as he grows up and learns the life of a true beta.
