Hey, if the government does shut down, anyone up for a Grand Canyon ride? The last time seemed to go well.

Memories for a lifetime in return for a criminal record and steep fines? Tempting, very tempting.

"Memories" assuming you're not out of your gourd on shrooms at the time.

You should be afraid of the Chupacabra...they like to come out when nobody else is around. I saw 3 last time I went on a remote hike in the GC. Luckily, the one that jumped on my back only bite me on the shoulder...it missed my neck, thank God!

Searches revealed 18 grams of marijuana and 15 grams of hallucinogenic mushrooms

So, the Ranger held them at gunpoint?
More misinformation - Accompanying them were two rangers with automatic weapons and bullet-proof vests. Rangers are not issued "automatic weapons", only semi-automatic. I doubt that the Rangers were sportin' M16A3 or A4s, which are select-fire weapons.
I'm surprised that the typical "assault weapon" verbiage wasn't used!

Sounds like they should have partied prior to riding down into the GC

they shut down all the time,, its just that usually its a taxpayer paid 'holiday'
if they eliminated the half dozen of those extra government 'holidays' (that most of the private sector never sees), that would immediately shave off 2%-3% off the payroll liability for 22 million public sector employees
