... and if we just ... Hawes nite shuttle...

Yup that right, us lazy b!tches shuttled hawes last night. We finally made it out about 930 with eabos waiting 2hours for us to arrive. (he was stoked to ride) Me and abcnorte picked up Shortbus and his big chumba and headed up the hill. For the most part you can get a pure DH run on hawes but just to punish james we took a right after cardiac hill and went down/up towards the mine trail, took a left on saguaro, headed up to granite, down to ridgeline and out. About 6 miles of nite shred. Eabos had a little cracked valve stem early in the ride, SBJ ate it going up saguaro, and I tire tapped a rattler. We saw scorpions, snakes, black tailed mice, rabbits and even an owl on our way back up the hill. All we were missing was the mountain lion and the hippopotamus. Great night, it actually cooled off a bit later in the night. Big props to SBJ for rocking his big bike and full face up and down all the stuff us AM guys were leading him to. He just took it as training for sunrise so watch out he's gonna kill it this weekend! The covert is now my new favorite bike. Plush like my big bike but about half as heavy and super flickable. Can't wait to try all my favorite trails on it!!! See ya'll next night ride!

Look, I've only ridden Hawes a handful of times, so maybe I'm dense... but other than Bush Hwy, there are no roads that go up there.

there is one that goes almost to the top. it's the same name as the huge mcmansion devolopment that sits right next to hawes. I'll let you all figure that out. It's seriously easy. keep driving up until you can't anymore, park on the side of the road or in one of the many houses for sale and pedal up to the trail. drop in, rip, shred, slash, etc. till you get to the bottom by the river and go do it again. If you really want specifics pm me with a paypal payment of on million dollars and I'll spell it out for you

Gotcha. I might have to give that a shot. I've seen those houses from the trail... I'll use google maps to figure out how to get into that neighborhood.

This could be fun. Riding up the mudflaps kicks my ass every time.

The next step in covert transition riding is a no lights waxing gibbous moon riding with tequila.

The cost of living the dream. . . $free99.

It can be affordable, but the job market is tough.
