Hawes-aholics - East Valley FB Group

Seems like there are few group rides posted up on MTBR these days.

I decided to create a Facebook Group called Hawes-aholics. It is for the Hawes/Usery/East Valley regulars. The goal is to create a more connected, more fun, more active mtb community in our neck of the woods. Group rides, events, info, trail work , ...

Look it up and ask to join if you would like: Hawes-aholics If you do join, please try to add some thing in the next few months. Offer up a group ride, whatever.

Luke, this is your father's lightsaber. I cut him in 1/2 to get it.

kudos for taking meaningful, value-added topics off of this forum... way too much silliness here to wade through to find AZ ride info.

You'd be surprised how much of this stuff you're missing. An example from just yesterday at the trail head: Two dudes dueling with pre-ride excuses as to why, and how much, either would be slower that day. Kudos to them!
Nice KOM, sorry about your penis.

I hear you Ray. I felt kind of bad posting about it here. Lot's of folks I ride with in my area are not on MTBR, but are on FB. I like this message board, but I feel that a small area will be better served with a FB group. Multiple options and communication points are a good thing.

Beerduro FB page has been fun too.

When we get some group rides going, I will post some of them up here too.

Thanks for setting this up Shawn! Maybe I'll actually ride my bike for a change. (Prepare for incoming from Ray on this subject matter)

arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body.

I hope you join the group and we ride together sometime soon. Much respect for the work, coordination, and stoke you have created for the area.

Art, That is what it is all about. Getting folks together to ride more.

Maad, Hit me up on here when you get around Hawes for a ride.

This is a great addition, the west valley crew has a solid FB group page. Heck, I don't live anywhere near there, but joined and drive out there on occasion to ride with them.

I'll be posting an open invite EV ride soon, probably for next weekend. Gotta see how things shake out this weekend. That'll be the start of my 750 tapering....

The Estrella Crew is the role model. They have such a good community. Hopefully we can replicate some of that. Maybe have an East Side/West Side gang style rivalry.
