Anybody attend this? Curious about what the plan is or at least what is being proposed at this point.

I'm surprise Glendale went with ARC with all the crappy projects they've done around the country.

    Yeah, myself and Colin attended...

The city only wants to put $120,000 into it and the tentative plans for the "bike park" is really just a kiddie playground with some wooden bridge features, burms, and maybe some small, non-gap, dirt jumps. They tried to stress that when built if it gets lots of use and interest that it will lead to a bigger and better park.

So, the future may hold an actual "bike park" but it won't be on this first run.

The BMXers in attendance were very unpleased.

Just another demonstration of how bikers are treated so much worse than every other user group out there...

    Well, that is unfortunate.

Yeah, almost as unfortunate that the city somehow deems the skate park as NOT SAFE for bikes... It wasn't designed for bikes.

All they said was the park wasn't designed with bikes in mind. There's probably a logical reason behind it but I'm sure those bikers would have no problem shredding it... Lame excuse and more than likely just a CYA move so there are no skater/biker conflicts.
