    Geronimo/Boy Scout Camp

Not that a whole lot of you will be riding this trail in the afternoon this coming month, but...
I was shuttling with Latedropbob and the Wednesday morning crew this AM. One of the camp staff scoutmaster persons approached us as we were waiting for the van at the bottom. He let us know that starting Thursday 6/3 until about 7/1 the lower portion of the trail will be closed after 2:30 PM daily. There will be scout activities and functions going on until approximately 9PM. A sign will be posted at the point in the trail where the BSA property begins as a reminder.
As an alternative, there always is the original bottom portion of Geronimo that you can ride. This is the trail that dips down into the wash below just prior to the private property sign. I've never ridden this part so I can't give you any more information than that.

Yup summer camp activities dampen afternoon rides . Although a bit earlier than last year.

The OG geronimo is a fun ride but its not one to do in the blazing heat as its not all down .

Pretty sure this includes weekends also. Last year when they did this they had the scouts on the trail every weekend.

Daaaaamn! If I was a boyscout, I'd be all like:
"F#$k you!! Camp at 2:30 in the afternoon in June!! You're out of your freakin mind! I quit!!"
    But that's just me.

that's how the boy scouts makes them momma babies into real men....make then go hiking in the dead of summer at 2pm with only a sheet of plastic and a bladder full of pee.

This will not deter our wed. mornin' shuttles...we are all in and all done at noon. Come out early if you want some geronimoooooooooo!!!!
