Full Moon night ride tonight...who's in?

So I'm not shuttling in the am, so I up for some moonlight riding tonight. Got a couple boys interested already, but a big group is always more fun and I don't want to leave anyone out like I did last time. Not sure what we're riding yet. Post up with your vote and we'll see which ride gets the most and thats where we'll ride. We already got a couple votes for a hawes shuttle. My wife works till 8ish so we won't be riding until 9. Should be coolish by then. who wants to get a lunar moonburn?

Far too many people on here get offended easily, so its hard to tell if you don't know someone.

Damn I hate having to pay for bike parts. If I didn't I wouldn't have to work. and no work means more time to ride, but....Damn damn double damn!

Well if a certain company would actually reply to inquiries about a certain broken frame, I would have bike to ride... But instead they are too busy being "rider owned for life" to actually answer their phone and emails.

The Ox is not worthy of an XO hanging 9 miles below the swingarm waiting to be smashed.

The brakes from the Bag need to be warrantied too, any idea if that call was made today?

So what broke last night and who got hit by a rattler? I smashed my face on my laptop trying to decipher accrual basis accounting and end of the year adjustments and reversals. Don't worry, my laptop is ok.

I didn't ride SoMo, but I got a good 24 mile loop from my house down (most of) T100 and back.

    It was still hot.

Mike-e, Posh and I manned up on SoMo last night. Started from the Pump Track, out DC, up up up the Corona death march to BV, down Natty and Mormon and back to the Pump Track. Didn't get started until almost 10pm, and didn't get finished until 1:45am.

Saw the PHX lights out over the Estrella's. Had something watching us at the top of Corona during a safety break, spotted some eyes about 50 yards off in some bushes (creepy). Got caught in the dust storm that blew through about midnight. Posh found out that a Giant Trance does not ride like a DH bike. Beer was drank.

Mike-e was on GPS and picture duty, so he should be posting up sometime.

    Posh got his Trance?

I love that loop, although I've only done it once. Pretty sure something was watching me at the top of Corona as well...
I cut my ride short, I was planning to head down to Tatum and back, but I was running really low on water and it was already pretty late.

He didn't get HIS Trance, he just stole one of the rentals from the shop instead of dragging the Blindside up the mountain. But it was funny seeing him riding a bike with a stem almost equal to the travel of the bike in mm.

That hike up Corona is BRUTAL when its hot out.

Ah, ok. I bet that bike was fast though!

I'm sure. On the climbs, sweat was just pouring off my face.

Not so sure about fast, but it was occasionally screaming for mercy and the occasional part did fall off along the way.

Kavu, I know you're anti-social, but I'm down for a ride after 8:30pm if you wanna join up. I'm thinkin' of either a full dc out to telegraph and back or a meet at 46th around west loops to pima up mormon, up natty to waterfall or b.v. down to javelina and out. usually ends up being about 10-15 miles of the goodz... anyone else. Brent had a great idea to ride from Fish's house out DC, up Corona de Loma, then down National. What an idiot.

    Awesome.

You should just start threads as soon as you think of them. Its more amusing that way.

I got to the mtn around 5p yesterday, temp 111, rode to the saddle, saw jebus and turned around. I think I won in the stupidest ride category.

Winner Winner Chicken Dinner!!! At least you got a ride in and lost a few pounds in water weight. There were people stuck inside sucking on crappy mcdonalds coffee drinks and mashing fries down their throats.

Kavu, I should be out there by 845. You thinking the 46th ride? I got another who's gonna come along too. Should be fun. I'm afraid of that sixty ride now with all the creepy crawly's out there...

I was more looking for snakes on Corona than anything else, and yet we didn't see anything other than the creepy eyes. I am guessing it was a Coyote or a Javelina... or a Chupacabra as you could see it watching us and it would occasionally blink. Creeeeepy.

I am convinced Posh had hired a Sherpa from the Guad last night and would just stash him when we stopped. He was way gone on the hike up and even had the bike on his back part of the way.

Oh yeah, and the little light up air valve caps are awesome for night rides, you can totally see where everyone is without having the big lights on. Although I am kind of suspect about Posh's rainbow light.

Sorry, No pics from last night but guaranteed it was a good ride. the moon was super bright and many times no lights were needed. We started at 46th, made our way around the east loop to the west loop ridgeline to the top of pima. As we looked down on the city from the west loop ridgeline we see a nice big haboob coming at us. Uh-oh. We trekked through pima canyon (which protected us pretty nicely) to chill for a bit, as we got going, kavu found he had a flat...more chilling Headed up mormom to the top to see the hazy city, turned around, the mormon monster slapped me pretty good about half way down. Dusted off, ripped down to javelina, dropped in ripped it up for about 200yards and the flat tire monster returned, to me this time. Swapped up the tubeage, slayed it for another 100 yards and the rock monster grabbed abc this time, raaar! Finished up with a final ripping descent down to the parking lot to see a shady dude in a chevy pickup and a chester the molester van...oh wait, that was kavu's. Good ridding with you Kavu, looking forward to more nite time adventures. Next time...we'll tackle the t100 troll!!!

I am sure that he is. Did you see Pinkbike's buy/sell category for AZ. He is trying to sell a piece of his Clappy to a Canadian since he is not allowed to cross the border. Oh it has armour plating which we know is a national security hazard.
