Great write-up Mike, maybe I'll just copy/paste it onto my blog since I'm so far behind....

Iíve driven into both sides of the mountains highlighted in your excursion. Under no circumstances would I have undertaken to bike it with my bad knees but it is beautiful country to see the sky, sunsets and sunrises. Those who pay the price get the privelege. Thanks for the fantastic photos.

On a side note, my most recent trip was the first time I had ever seen a state highway go from pavement to dirt and still be a state highway. Hwy 188 along Saguaro lake. Beautiful drive though.

188 runs next to Roosevelt lake. The Apache Trail is Hwy 88.

Haha no way I'd like to see a mind dump from your perspective.

Great writeup, thanks for the post.

I was just thinking that schillingsworth must be far behind on blog posts. Just in time for peak riding season.... get to work!
