Fork trade: My coil, your air

Hey, all. I'm looking to move to an air fork on my pedal bike and away from the coil I'm running up front. Nothing wrong with it, just looking to drop a touch of weight and better match my RP23.

Rockshox Lyric coil, 160mm, 20mm thru, 1 1/8 steerer cut just a hair under 8 inches. Rebound, high- and low-speed compression, all three coils (light, medium, heavy). White lowers with typical rash; stanchions are clean.

What I want to trade for: 160mm only (no 150s or 170s) Lyric solo air or Fox Float, 20mm thru, 1 1/8 steerer (no tapers) minimum 8 inches of steerer.

Feel free to PM or e-mail at [email protected]

Blatant, I'm out with injury right now as you probably know but if you want to try out my 160 float you're definitely welcome to. It's a 2010 fox float. What's the overall weight on the lyrik?

Just convert your Lyric to a solo air and there you go , that fork can be what ever you want it to be .

170 can be made a 160 with a spacer removal.

Correction. I think you add a 10mm spacer.

How did you make your lyrik into a 180 travel fork again???

Yep , these Lyrik forks are very nice to change travel or to valve and make work just the way you want them to.

You can remove a factory spacer to make them 170 and with alittle machining you can make them 180s as well.

Actually any fork or shock can have the stroke and travel altered to suit to a point , and most forks can be changed from spring to air and so on .

Your better off starting with new components and working with them untill you get them dialed for you

On my Enduro I have changed my e-150 fork to 165 mm travel , I have changed the rear to 160 , I changed the 67 degree head tube angle to 66 and brought the valving around to where it works for me, now the bike is light and rides like a big bike

Just because I don't care for cheap bolts the bike industry uses. Is not a reflection on my ability to turn a wrench. Hell I was turning wrenches on cars back when you were filling a diaper.
