Smile Flagstaff Trails... Best place to RV Camp?

Looking to bring my 34' motor home up to flag and do some riding. Any body have good recommendations? Can be dry camp or hookups or whatever. I've tried Fort Tuthill and was fun and right out of the campground, which was a huge bonus. Looking to hit some XC trails on Elden perhaps this time up. Thanks for any help.

just take it up Shultz Pass rd on Elden then. There is a spot on the left side of the road 5 miles up and plenty more spots just up the road on the right at some major TH (can't remember which).

No hookups, fires allowed. Riding withing feet of where you park.

About 1.5-2 miles past Schultz Pass Rd (north on Hwy 180), turn right onto FR 164B. It is paved for the first 1/8 mile or so. Lots of camping spots along this well maintained road until it meets Snowbowl Rd in a couple of miles. This will put you at the foot of the Ft. Valley Trail system, and is very RV friendly . It is dry camping only. From there, you can easily hook up to the Elden Trails, etc.

Or, on the E. Side of town there is a KOA right at the base of Elden. There are plenty of trails nearby, but a 4 mile singletrack jaunt to the "hub" of the Elden trails system.

Schultz Pass Rd would not be very fun to navigate in a 34' RV IMO.

Good point. It's certainly doable but the road is narrow at times and if anyone else is coming down it will be a standoff, haha.

    164b is the spot.
