    Flag/Sedona Group ride 6-23

Super short notice, but riders are welcome to enjoy some cool pine, smoke and fire free riding. Today, June 23 4pm.
Meet at Highway 89 and Forest Road 237, about a mile north of the Oak Creek Overlook. TrailDoc, Canadian Bacon, and other Sedona locals + visiting canadians are coming along so far. This ride shouldn't be more than 1.5 hours. Very pretty place! Bring a beverage to store in the cooler for post ride.

Coming up from Chandler for beer fest... ah yeah!

Anyone recommend a fairly simple 1-1.5 hr ride? My girlfriend is 6 mos preggers, but still rides... just don't want her going OTB, so something non-technical would be greatly appreciated.

Okay, thread hikacked: if it were me and my unborn child, I wouldn't do anything more than Buffalo Park or the FUTS through town. Otherwise, Campbell Mesa can be described as non-technical.

BTW, thanks for all who showed up. We had a good time in the woods. Lets do it again soon.

Great idea. I definitely plan to get up to Flag so I can continue to support the local economy and such. Norcal this weekend though, but hopefully flag the next.

Thanks for organizing Chalkpaw. Sorry I had to bail early and get back to Flag. I had not been out there on that trail for at least 3 years, and it has changed for the better. I enjoyed so much that I rode it again this morning.

    CP:

Great Riide! The ride back to the car was a blast. Going to take the Canucks out to Damifino tomorrow.

Today we rode SE to Pyramid to Witch Doctor to Pyramid to Cake Walk to Ram Head to Under Under the Radar to Double D to Rams Head to Ridge to Secret Slickock to Ridge to Sketch to Lemonade to Old Ridge to Ridge to Caroll Canyon to Homie. I think the ride was 19 kilometers and 400 meters of climbing.

It was a little warm, but the international relations during the ride went well and the adult beverages at the end of the ride were tasty. Possible video coming up in a day or so. Doing up the meat dish right now for the potluck tonight at the Hyatt.

Thanks for the picture, it looks like I am going to flip over backwards. The sirloin roasts are coming along nicely.

    CP/TD,

I have a part time residence in Sedona and would love to do this one when the big "S" is a little too warm. Go up the canyon to FR 237 and where abouts is the trailhead?

Awesome vids from the canucks too!
