    First time group

Hey I am trying to get a group to ride one weekend. All newbies but me. they wont have good bikes but a light trail is what I am looking for. Any one that is good? I got a 29er but they might have some little ones. It will be taking the place of a workout.

Papago park has plenty of beginner friendly trails. Specifically the west side of the park around the golf course. Desert Classic on SoMo is pretty easy too, but there will be much more traffic on that trail on any weekend. I wouldn't recommend leading a group of newbies on that trail, unless it was midweek.

What part of town? In the S.E. I recommend San Tan Mountain. There are some great trails there for the inexperienced.

SoMo is good but get those bikes looked at before you go. I gave up a spare tube to a guy that was riding a next then set his rear derailer. tourney what pos.

A NEXT on SoMo?? How far up was he? Must have worked hard to move that 50lb POS.... Was his "Shimano Equipped" sticker alright......that's what's important.....

SoMo was busy that day. I am surprised nobody saw him. felt bad for the guy, but then again when you se a sticker on a bike that says it is a mountain bike you stop thinking what a 100 dollars is going to get you. He was on Classic about 2 miles from the end on the north side about 3:30 two fridays ago.
