Idea! Fast at McDowell? Loop Time Trials

Thanks to MTBikeAZ we have the Helipad TT and the Sunrise TT

Thanks to Dreamy Draw TT we have a number of T100 TTs

I enjoy riding at McDowell and keep an eye on improving my speed. I'd like to see aggregated times for the various loops there. So, I created a page for McDowell time trials:

LINK: McDowell Mountain Park Time Trials

Time Trials include individual times for:
    1. Long Loop
    2. Sport Loop
    3. Tech Loop
    4. S-T-L Loop
    5. Pemberton Loop

The page is self-service, so you can post your times if you have a google account. I will moderate for quality and data integrity.

The loops are based upon the defined McDowell loops - I have links to the maps up currently and will add GPS files shortly.

    Open to feedback.

    Thanks!

Last Sunday I got back to my car to find that I beat my personal best on Pemberton by nearly 2 minutes but the buzz was killed when I realized that the nice young lady who passed me in the rocky climb section up top was already back at her car with her bike put away...

Oh well, was still a good lap for an old fat guy!

Hey Marty - I sent you an email... thought I had it set for open enrollment, so I will have to take a look at that. The invite should work in the mean time.

azoutside - me too, numerous times. I was making "great" time once, and this guy about double my age went flying by me on a climb. Maybe my time wasn't so "great" after all.

For comparison sake, you should specify a start and end point for these loops, specifically for the S/T/L. For example, a timed loop of the S/T/L from trail entrance on the Sport to the trail exit on the long would be significantly different than the overall time from truck to truck in that the span of the parking lot could ad 1 minute or more to the time.

Leave it to me to nit-pick the details.

Truck to truck....what would be faster... to start at the begging of the sport loop... or start at the other end of the parking lot... hmmmmmm.....

good point Alan, entry to exit on each. I'll add some notes on "rules/specifics", and I'm sure the gps files will help once I put them up.
