No good Digging at SoMo? Just an incredibly bad idea...

Saw this new "addition" this morning. It's on the dirt road heading up to Mormon/National. Considering all the work the Rangers have been doing to close off spider trails and features, this couldn't be any worse. I'm sure they've already seen it so the damage is done on that front. This needs to go away quickly (would've done something today but I was running quite a bit late)...

That's eff'd up. 1 stupid little jump that's visible to almost every hiker that goes to SM and is looking for a reason to hate or get rid of bikes. It's not really even a jump. What's the point of it ? dumbasses

That's not good. I noticed recently the closed off rock jump/drop at the very bottom on Natty by the big rock cairn and respect it. Also noticed the feature coming down Natty where you do a quick 360 loop and climb up the rocks and drop the steep closed and I respect that as well. Other spider sections are closed off and that's fine. This new 'feature' is way out of place not doubt.

Yeah, I rode out there Sunday morning and it wasn't there. Got built sometime Sunday evening or Monday, it was obviously very fresh (which really made it stick out). Stacking some rocks for a jump/feature is one thing, sculpting on the main road is going too far.

Ugg. Maybe someone can get out there and gently rake that mess out. I can't get there today. It would be awesome if it was removed quick.

I'm thinking Monday. I rode Sunday night and didn't see it. Really want to know the f-u-c-k tards that did this. I think we all need to keep an eye out.

I'll tell you exactly the fuvk tards that did it: Everyone who does marketing using the pump track/red bull rampage flatbiller idiocy ploy. Now it seems every spode wants trails to become bike parks.

What was build is absolutely pedestrian and not worth the effort to move the dirt.

wtf are you whining about? many of the people who chimed in here about how this is a bad idea are also users of PT, jump parks etc. These morons are the same moron who would trash berms and case jumps and not fix em. there are jerks in every group.

Short of playing cops, we cant do much. Try to lead by example, and educate others esp. if you see them doing this.

Who has the time to do something like this? If I had the time I would actually use it to ride. But allas I dont ride because I dont have time. Its amazing how much new twins at home destroy your flow.
