    A differnet tire thread!!

Looking for tires for my rigid SS. I'm currently running 29x2.6 Nobby Nic's, but the AZ desert is quickly killing them.

So, I was thinking of a Maxxis Aggressor on the rear. I have one on my geared Pivot, but was wondering if anyone has tried one on their single speed? I'm a masher, and the NN's just don't cut it when it gets loose on climbs. I wanna stay with at least 2.5's, so any thoughts?
I need a cool saying to put here.

I've been running the 27.5 version of that tire on my Mach6 for a while now and it's one of my favorites for the right balance of rolling resistance, grip & wear life. Seems like a good option for anyone wanting those traits. I'm also running the Griffin which has a bit better rolling performance but doesn't have quite as much durability in the rocks as the Aggressor.

Good to know. I might have to pick one up. Art's has 'em for less than 60 bucks, in 2.5!!

I run the Aggessor on the rear on all 3 of my bikes but only in 2.5 on my Tracer. I installed it (with a 2.5 DHF on the front) right before going to Whistler. There are tons of sharp rocks in Whistler and tons of roots on our day in Bellingham, it did great in all conditions.

If you haven't ordered them yet, the 29x2.5 Aggressor is $52.80 at Backcountry and 8% cash back with Active Junky on top of thats about $48.

$51.52 at Arts, shipped 2nd day air, and you get a 2 oz. bottle of Stans!!

I might have to grab one, my Nobby Nic is out in the garage, bubbling sealant from the tread area, after an easy ride at San Tan, yesterday. Schwalbe needs to up their durability game!!

Yeah, I used to run NN's on all my bikes but I live in SoCal. My last trip to PHX, I brought my Primer with a Ardent up front and a Minion SS in the back. They did surprisingly well, even on the chunk at SoMo.
