    Desert Classic early morning ride

it was very hot and extremely muggy, but the sunrise was purty.

when, o when will this infernal monsoon end?

Gorgeous pics! I rode Desert Classic on the way to work this morning around 8:15 and it was delightful - light rain & cool. Looks like I have about 107F and 9% humidity for the ride home - not too bad!

I was out this morning as well. Left the house around 8am just after the hard rain fell. Rode for 37 minutes when I realized that I wasnt wearing my helmet!! I was coming down the back of the Corona Loop and was wondering why the sweat was pouring down my face so easily! DUH!! Luckily my wife met me at Warpaint and brought me helmet. I rode til almost 10:30am and it was definitely not as cool and overcast as it was at 8!!

u2, were you the one we talked to twice on the trail or the one who told us about the piggies near the water tank?

Nice. I haven't seen any pigs out there, yet. I spend almost all of my time doing the Mormon-National loop instead of Desert Classic and have seen a coyote and nearly ran over a southwest speckled rattlesnake a few weeks ago. How often do folks see pigs out there? Any big cat sightings?

No cats yet (hopefully never), but I see the javy's every single morning I go through the tree "tunnel" at the water tower. Usually still a little bit dark out lately and they are hard to see, so I just start whistling and sliding a tire as I get closer, prefer not to have to be run into by one of them.

I know, Ive been going out a little late lately. At least this weekend was a little cooler. I did 8-11 yesterday and 9-12 on the road today. Must be getting used to the heat or something!!

I have not seen the pigs this year? I saw them a lot last year. They must be sleeping by the time I get my butt out the door!

I used to live right by Desert Classic. I'm now living in OH, and these pics make me miss my early morning rides, ride out of the garage and onto the trail in under a mile. I miss the desert terrain. Thanks for the pics of a beautiful AZ sunrise.
