cheap bike shorts in Phoenix area

My girlfriend wants a cheap pair of bike shorts for the one time a year she sits on her bike (Tour de Tempe). Problem is the ride is this sunday so internet orders are out.

I am east valley and she is west valley so anywhere in between works. Who sells the cheapest pair of shorts you can buy?
    thanks

    Lycra or Baggies???

I'd say check out *gasp* Performance *gasp* on Ray Road & Kyrene in Chandler. You could probably pick up either for under $20. Just don't expect anyone to help you pick them out -

See you at the TDT on Sunday. My wife and I along with our 2 yr old and his Chariot bike trailer will be there.

BTW, she could probably get by w/o padded shorts for this 12-15 mile "road" ride.

    Have a great time!

Go to your nearest Walmart and buy a pair of Dickie's short for $15. My favorite riding shorts

I just picked up some brake pads from there tonight. They had what I needed.

    Cheap

I wouldn't go to a regular neighborhood LBS, too expensive.

I think, for what you asked, that Performance is great, there's always a sale rack in the back with discontinued stuff. I was in the perpetual garage-sale shop the other day, Tempe Bike, and they have a lot of cheap clothing as well.

You were complaining about LBS website content while being too lazy to pick up a phone and make a freaking call, totally different circumstances.
