Good Luck, and from one Lumberjack to another, stay there every summer. The school year seasons are the worst of the 4 seasons you will see in Flag. Fall is nice, but cools down quickly almost overnight, Winters usually snow-melt-snow-melt-snow-sun-melt over and over, Spring is welcomed warmth but the wind can be hell, but Summers - they are absolutely beautiful in Flag. FTR, the other seasons really aren't that bad, but I was always trying to convince friends/other students to stay in Flag for the summer because it was the best time to be there - especially for the biking.

One other tip for the summers, Sedona is nice, but for some of the best cliff jumping - head to Clear Creek in Winslow. No need to stop in Winslow, just drive straight through, but the cliff jumping is matched only by craziness at Lake Powell.

Great story and good luck at NAU. I've had a quite a few friends go though the phys therapy program and they speak highly of it.

Good thing you're a cyclist. A parking pass for campus is now $300

Luckily I'm a veteran too to "offset" some of those extra costs.

Great story. I'm a massage therapist who volunteers to massage oncology patients...unfortunately by the time I see them they are down to their last month or so. I'm happy to see a nice story about someone who made it.

Good luck to you in the program up there...thought about doing that myself but couldn't swallow another 5 years of my life in school!
