Best Shops in Phoenix and/or Scottsdale

I'll be in Scottsdale on a brief holiday next week (from B.C.). Would like to check out local shops if there are any great ones. Not shopping for anything in particular...just like to check out new MTB shops when I'm travelling if I can fit it in. Recommendations appreciated!

Rage and Airpark are my favorites in that area.

In general, you might want to check out the town of Cave Creek, which is about as far north in metro phoenix as you can go before running into national forest land.

Several good trails start in this area.

There is a pretty nice bike shop called Flat Tire that is attached to a nice coffee shop lunch place called Local Johnny's.

It's a bit of a hippy dippy place that has a really nice feel.

You won't find anything real high end in the bike shop though.

It's kinda a unique part of Phoenix that not a lot of visitors know about.

My favorite, too. Global bikes is good too, but Rage is the best and always has a great selection of interesting bikes and parts, plus laid-back and helpful people work there.

Curious about this as well. I'm headed out to Scottsdale this weekend and was hoping to rent and ride from a shop. I dont think Rage is in the right area but I haven't done much research.

This, for riding from a shop. Couple miles to the McDowell Mtns. Rage is amazing, but not great MTB to ride to.

If you want to rent from Airpark best to contact us asap. We have rentals but they do go fast during our cooler months. We are closed on sundays so picking up on sat morning would get you the whole weekend. Hope this helps and shred safe out there.
