    Best LBS Tempe area?

Hey guys... was gonna go grab some new tires , chain lube and stuff and don't want to wait for the internet specials to arrive....

Anyone know a good LBS that isn't gonna rip me off too bad on those things? East valley or close to North Tempe would be preferred!

    Thanks.

Rage Cycles is technically South Scottsdale, but if you don't mind driving or riding to Scottsdale and Thomas, this shop is awesome. They will have everything you are looking for at a good price.

REI, while not cheap, is another option with pretty late hours and a very liberal return policy.

    +1 for Rage.
Internet if you want cheap; LBS is for customer service, building a relationship, etc....these guys are typically not getting rich off of us.

My experience at the Landis shop in Scottsdale has been pretty good. Bought my wife's bike there (commuter) and they have went out of there way to help me on some random repair issues. (free cable routing hose of all things)

I really like Domenic's. They carry things to fit any of my bikes and are knowledgeable about bikes without being snobby.

Break-fix I go with Landis on Warner in Tempe (those guys know their bikes, road bmx, mtb, etc.)

For parts I go with Performance, also in Tempe off of Ray Rd. Buy something and give them your email address and you will get weekly coupons for free stuff, coupons and special upcoming sales.

Don't get me wrong, the service and the people at Landis are very nice. I lived near the warner and rural one and used to go there exclusively until I found many of the same items were about 25 % cheaper at Domenic's.
