back yard pump track inspired, Mesa AZ.

Well. After watching vids for the past month and then seeing the thread about the backyard pump track. I gotta say I was a bit inspired by the idea.
So today I decided that the un-used space in my brothers back yard needed some pep..
I was only out there for 2 hours by my self.. "No tractor or group of 6 friends" LOL. "Just me and my spade." Not including the 2 hours of landscaping that had to be done first...
It should be a figure 8. with an oval option running 4 woop di doo's. My goal is to only have to pedal to get momentum and use the hills and berms to keep speed, Kind of like the track at mcdowell mt. So far its going well. Should be done by the end of the week.
The berms will be about a foot taller when completed.

Wow, nice shovel work! What's your brother going to think when he gets home from vacation? Just kidding. Please post progress pics!

    Thanks everyone.
Not much has changed other then ALOT of shovel work.
We got the berm built a foot higher and changed the pitch coming around the corner on the elec box. Now there is pleanty of room and it flows real nice, Dug out a "hot tub" after the round and started working on the other side of the figure 8.
Oh, and 100's of laps to pack it properly. probably be done by the end of the weekend, :drummer:

I'd post this up on the AZ forum. Plenty of people who love the pump tracks here. You might get more feedback too!

SWEEEET, MY THREAD GOT MOVED. Thanks super mods.
Sorry, No updates as it was too dark even with a full moon to take pics.
But boy can I tell ya, a pump track is SOOO much better for you then any machine or bike path. I'm able to make tighter turns, I can pedal harder, and I have more endurance.
I have about 250 laps so far on my unfinished track.
I can already see I'm going to have to add spot lights and a mister system for the coming hot summer nights.

That meter pedestal makes a nice obstacle. It's a matter of time before someone clips it. Track looks good so far.
