    These are from last Friday. No riding as I was working. The ferris wheel was in Irwindale, CA for a fiar we were going to do a FMX show at, until the promoter tucked tail and started floating bad checks.

    Hopefully I can snatch up a cool ride this week and get some pics in!

    4' tall log roll combined with the inability to move behind ones saddle makes for a crazy move....yet the dude abided.......I passed on it......you can actually see the center of gravity struggling to move beyond the compressed front tire.......

    4.0

    I only wish I would have kept my pedals perpendicular to the ground, seems as though I bashed the pedal.

    I like this one that Maad took:

    The Lev reigns supreme on a loaded, bikepacking trip. Great pictures Maad, love the ones that you have of us climbing Prison on your blog.

    Where's that? I mean those stone "bee hive things."

    I have an old Lev 3.0 and replaced it with a Tallboy. Terrible bike. Nothing but pedal strikes. Seeing that electric blue Lenz is real motivation to call Devin and order a new 4.0. That 13.5" BB clearance is perfect in the rocky stuff.

    How far did you ride ?

    [QUOTE=Mtn-Rider]Picketpost, the undiscovered shred.

    How far did you ride ? Looking at the picture, my guess is you are around the 4-5 mile mark. About 6 months ago when I rode out there, it wasn't far past that point that the trail was being reclaimed by catclaws in a big way.

    Myself and the person I was riding with looked like we had lost a knife fight by the time we got back (legs and arms were very badly scratched). We kept going past where the picture was taken to where the trail crosses the road. Rather than coming back the way we came, we took the road bailout and made our way back to the parking lot.

    Does anyone know if the trail has been cleared this year ?

    That shot is right about the 4 mile mark, good guess. And yes, I do know (and actually saw) a much appreciated trail improvement up to at least the 5 mile mark. It's certainly not the slaughter it used to be. I highly recommend a ride to the southside trail before the heat creeps in. I don't know the current state of the trail to the north though.

    I was out there in at the end of January, and it was super clear out to the road. After that, there was catclaw to the 11+ mile mark where I stopped, but I've been shredded by much worse elsewhere. It wouldn't be enough to deter me from venturing out there again. Sorry, but can't say much about any recent growth.
