Wow, Corey smoked the course. Next year, it's the big buckle for him. We also had some Arizonans who didn't quite make it, but started and gave it their all.... Kudos to all who have the courage to give it a shot.

Congratulations to those with finishing times of 10, 11 and 12 hours - that's some serious commitment to see a job through. There must have been so many difficult hours to get through mentally (let alone physically) to make it to the end.

Yea, he was bumed that he missed the big belt buckle this year. But, everyone's times (except Lance) were a little slower this year. I think the cold-rainy-snowy weather and the addeded single track had something to do with it.

I have put this event on my calendar for 2010 and am just shooting to make it in under 12 hrs.

    Thanks Greg,
That was a tough day on the bike. Mother nature is a mean b!$%@. First the rain, then the sleet, then the wind. I met one of my goals and left room for improvement. I may try it again next year, which is something I vowed not to do after climbing pipeline on the way back. Good thing I have a short memory. See you at the PBR.

I may, as well. Geared. Scrounging up $250 is going to be the crux for me.

Yeah, I did it in 2008, and remember saying "I am never doing that again". But I signed up again for 2009. (didn't get in though). I guess my memory is short too.

Dejay did it SS - and got the big buckle.

I went the past few years to watch my wife participate in the idiocy (I skipped out this year). Was quite amazed at the women who rolled in on one speed - before my wife on her geared bike. I imagine SS truly sucks on this course. Gearing has got to be a hella challenge with the mixture of extended climbs and long flats.

My favorite sighting was a cruiser type SS heading up Columbine. They guy didn't get all that far before he started pushing - still gotta respect the guts it took to roll that thing.

I wonder if they gave Andy Fischer a belt buckle? He finished at 12:00:44

    UGH!
