I was planning on riding up the east side of past mountain again. I did it today hammered it up and down and thought I got good video but my files were corrupt . Might not have the energy to hammer it but I do plan riding/hab up to the saddle . Might even be persued to go around all the way but counter clockwise. However I love the flow coming down from the saddle.

Havent started from the horse lot in sometime. I go thru the meridan access point but have no issues driving around to the staging lot instead. Prob safer anyways. Not paticular on time but would like to be off trail before it gets to 90.

I have no preferences since I ride from home....you call the time and location, I'll be there.

If you don't mind a slow rider with you...I'm up to try ccw however I have never done it ccw...I have done it the easier way. Just keep in mind I'm slower than you both and I don't want to hinder the ride.

I'm passing out.....I wake up early....post up location and time and I'll most likely make it....slow or fast....CCW or CW....I don't care....looking for good times, some fart jokes and a few picture opportunities if you don't mind whoring yourselves out for the camera.

    Cheers,

Sounds good then . I am up for a start time between 6:30-7 at the merdian trailhead or T intersection where meridian meets pass. also staging lot fine with me if dg wants to park there.

As far as ccw IMO its much more interesting challenging . We could also ride up the east side to the saddle then over to the north saddle and then back track Should miss any and all hikers with the best parts of the trail IMO . The west side gets to be a boring non stop grind for me .

I'm good with the time....clarify the meet point...DG, you in? If so, where?........staging lot inside the park or meridian trailhead....and by that, I assume Meridian and McDowell?

Since I approach from the west, I always access Pass from Wild Horse wash or McKellips/Crimson....so the Meridian thingy is new to me.....

Mad you could go around cats peak either way and head east down hill to the intersection by the big ravine.

This one also shows another entry point other than that corner.

going to bed will check back early am . as of now I plan to be at the meridan trailhead @7 anyone is welcome to join .

Also its nice going up the east side downhill as you get to see lines and rock rollers your mind doesn;t have time to register untill after you pass it.

No worries..I rode up to the saddle and back down only to have my gopro not get the last half of the downhill..Damn it thats why I peddled up . I guess I am going to go back out again this afternoon if my legs are up to it. Only got up the mountain a little quicker thanks to clearing a couple more tough spots going up.

I feel like becoming the east valley trail doc. Already eyeing rocks and placement to help with some of the real rough spots/big step ups to be more friendly for the masses including myself
