Mountain Bike in the Moonlight - McDowell
    McDowell Mountain Regional Park
The award winning Mountain Bike by the Moon Light is a night time ride on the Pemberton Trail (15.4 miles). The Pemberton Trail is not very technical; however, night riding will make it more difficult. Helmets and lights will be mandatory on this ride. Only lights designed for use with mountain bikes with at least a 3 hour power source are acceptable. All riders must sign in and out at the trailhead as they start and finish their ride. Everyone needs to be off the trail by 9:30 PM. This is not a guided ride. Volunteers will sweep the course to ensure all riders return safely. For more information call 480-471-0173.

I don't know, and I don't think anyone would want to come out and say yes.

Tomorrow 78, Saturday 82. I saw 112 here last summer in the shade, on a digital thermometer. Rattlesnakes are out already here in NW AZ.

Thanks for the night ride info. I missed the charity TT last year but made it out in time for the fun ride. Hopefully I can make it in time for the TT. It was a fun event....give aways and drink in the lot after. Good times.

I am not complaining... This spring has been very nice. Besides the warm weather keeps the snow birds away.

I too passed a rattle snake while at Usery this weekend. So be on the lookout.

Mine has been on for the last month. I usually welcome the heat, because it means less traffic on the trail, and it's safer to road bike and run (buh bye snow birds!), but this year I'm dreading the heat. Looks like I might be hauling-a for the home pad in San Francisco this summer! Skipped it last year, but this year, I'm in the mood for some Northern Calif trails again!

Can't say I enjoyed the "warmth" on the BCT this weekend. A little cloud cover would have been nice.
