Friday 3/20 - SoMo. Many routes, many options.

Sunday 3/22 - 2 options: BCT and Goat Camp.

Looking for leaders for A, B and C rides at SoMo and BCT,

Also, need an A and B ride leader for Goat Camp.

PM me or azepicriderandrunner if interested.

I'll give you a pass this time and say no.

    But everyone else, pants required.

I have some spare skorts to loan out. Bob and JB, I know you want to

JB, thanks for tagging with Chad to put on the Fling this year! I'll be taking the time off and can lead B-ish rides. Would love to take my Ohio boys to Goat Camp this year.

Yo JB, Do you know if the Pre-Fling Hawes ride on Wednesday is still happening?
Getting a dropper post is like getting a bidet. I didn't know I needed one until I get one and boy, does my ass thank me.

Hmmm. That's a good, yet paradoxical, question. If we "plan" it, is it still a "pre" ride?

    Discuss.

    No, don't.

I'm sure it's happening, are you volunteering to lead?

Tim and Gary from Columbus? All groovy guys are welcome! As in past years, I'm pretty sure that Sedona fling rides will be on Saturday.

I was speaking of Rody from Groovy Cycles in Ohio, maker of sweet custom bikes and the infamous Luv Handles.......I'm a transplanted Buckeye, moved to Flagpole in 1986 after Miami/Oxford pushed me over the edge and made me rethink life in Ohio

Happy to finally see some dates and cities compared. Trying to get more than two people to drive up from TX this year (and I'm already down one, Nando done gone and broke his elbow - if it's any consolation he now has a 3' rock wall named after him here in town ).

    But,

Is Thurs 19th a Tuscon day?

Is there a night-ride Wed 18th (gotta figure how hard to drive the horses heading West)?

Yes, Thurs is Tucson. We will also be having a Wed pre-fling night ride in Tucson (Starr Pass) and Phoenix (Hawes).

Nice. Thanks. If plans (and driving, and lack of highway patrolmen) go well I'll see you at Starr Pass.

I think I can find it this time, I already have a GPS waypoint.

Looking like i'm not coming alone from TX either, so far I've got two other confirmed "yups"

The official facebook AZSF MTBR page and the AZSF wordpress site that we will be using to post the information (with an occasional transfer over to MTBR for those that prefer to read it on a thread here). Use both the websites to spread the word about AZSF.

In the next few weeks, I will be taking orders for shirts payable via check/paypal, the shirt design was made thanks to cookiedough (DaveP.) Stay tuned for more information about the shirt.

Anyone wishing to lead a ride (I will start asking soon via PMs, so if I have ridden with you or if you did a ride last year, you might be receiving some PMs in the next few weeks), please send me a PM, make a comment on the AZSF website or email me at my yahoooooooooooooooooooooooo account, chad f (as in fat tire, what we will be drinking at the SoMo partay thanks to CactusJoe) brown with no spaces.

The email address is also a good way to send suggestions to me. While this is my 2nd year doing this, I am sure to overlook something. If you have an idea or see something that would work better, email me, please. I, like Obama, believe that the people on AZ MTBR make this thing happen, not one person.

If you are reading this without a fat tire or pedal wrench in your hand, you should be ashamed.

    Peace on dirt.....

I might be able to help out with the Sedona rides, maybe I could team up with Paul B. if he's onboard again this year I'd be coming down from Flagstaff.
Heading down there today @ 1pm or so for some pre storm SS'ing out Dry Creek way.

Bummer...I will be out of town Thurs - Sun at the NCAA Women's Div. 1 Swimming Championships at Texas A&M. I had been planning to offer to lead the BCT ride, but I guess that's out.

    Enjoy all!!!

Walt, BCT is still a go, it is on the Sunday list. Want to lead the B or A ride? This was one of my favorite rides last year, nice chilled pace with a lot of beer afterwards

I added you to the rough draft list. We will all be meeting near Bike n Bean this year again, but you can choose your own start time and ride.
BTW, PaulB did a C ride last year starting at 10am from IGA.

Hey Chad. Are the Yeti and RM demo tours going to tag along for rides other than SOMO? Also, I didn't think they could set up in the Pima lot anymore due to restrictions.

Thanks to you and JB for organizing Hope to make at least a couple rides.

We are still finalizing our demo guys this year. They will not be offered at Pima Canyon like we tried last year. More details later.

The Wednesday night ride at the 50 will be 'B' pace 'A-B' terrain.

We have a full house of riding guests, so if most are riding in town, we will probably just start from the house.

There is a facebook page with some photos.
