Would these gloves be any good for Mountain biking?

I just bought these from Costco for $10. I was thinking of these or maybe mechanix gloves. These feel great and are grippy but I don't know if they will last. They are made of a spandex like neoprene type material.

Hmmmm, honestly not sure how it's going to stand against the abuse on the trails. If you'll never fall, I would think it would work fine. Features are great but it's just missing the protection part.

Since you mentioned it, I have the Mechanix gloves and have fallen on rocks and rough terrain, scraped it against trees and what not and so far it has held up. Also has those rubber things that offer some sort of protection

Gloves can be VERY personal preference, so what works for you might not work for someone else. But one pretty universal need in a glove is air-flow as pitanan mentioned. Try em out and see. They look like they would be alright for cold weather riding..

I like Fox Gloves, they have been making motocross gloves for 40 years or so, you can find them on sale for under $20 and there are plenty of them under $30. and they work and last. Try motorcycle shops, you'll find long sleeve MX jerseys for under $20 sometimes too.

I got the same pair from Costco too, but not for riding.
They look perfect for warm spring skiing, tho.
