Lake makes wide sized shoes. I have a pair of the mx 190's. They are OK, my problem is that the front of my foot is very wide (EEE on my right, EE for the left, I used to sell ski boots) and my heel and ankle area are just average, or even narrow. So usually I had to wear my cycling shoes about 2 sizes too big so I could fit my foot in. The Lakes are OK, still not wide enough in he forefoot for me, and a bit wide in the middle and heel area. I had to grind a bit off the rachet strap so I could rachet it down tighter to secure my heel. Its a b!tch to get it to release, but thats the only way I could get it tight enough.

So they are better than most, but still not my perfect MTB shoe. Its an option anyway, good luck.

    Specialized BG Wide MTB Shoe

I have owned Sidi Megas (overly stiff and the soles are too hard and slippery), and Lake MX 165's in wide (very heavy and overbuilt). The best fitting wide shoe that I have found is the Specialized BG Wide MTB shoe, link is below. They are wickedly expensive, but easily the most comfortable mtb shoe that I have ever owned and Specialized really stands behind their products. The contact points (shoes, saddle, grips, bar, etc...) should not be compromised.
