I got a pair of heated insoles for Christmas. They are rechargeable and would be great for cold (20 degrees F and lower) commutes or long winter rides. The problem is that they are kind of thick, about half an inch in the back, maybe a quarter inch under the arch and toes. I can't get them and my feet in my current bike shoes (sidi dominator MEGA). I have wide feet. I am thinking if i buy a pair of shoes a size or two bigger than i need I may be able to get them to work. I see that Lake shoes come in wide and I saw a removable insole from Lake shoes on eBay. Do Lake shoes have a removable insole that is pretty thick that I could replace with the heated insole? Thanks for any advice.
