    Why you need a helmet

Last week while riding my favorite trail I hit a low hanging tree limb. I never even saw it because I was rolling down a drop in and just as the trail started to rise I hit it dead on.

Being honest if it wasn't for the design of this helmet with its full forehead coverage I am certain I wouldn't be typing this post.

At some point earlier in the ride I had already scuffed my head on a few low hanging limbs. So I was aware of the new low hanging limbs so I have no clue how I missed the one I hit.

You can see the helmet to a direct hit to the front.

Looking down on the helmet the front is caved in 3/8". This could have been my skull.

I just ordered another Laser helmet from the guys at North Centrel Cyclery and I am going to keep this helmet so I can show people how helmets in fact do save lives.

Last year, I was finishing up a ride and was goofing off on the last mile of the fire road back to the truck.
Well, I lost the front end pretty quick and landed on my back and hit my helmet pretty damn hard.
