    which helmet is that?

    back to your OP
The Giro CF only shaves about 150g off the standard shell. not really worth the $$$$ difference to me

I agree with FredR get the D2. I'm not quite sure what you mean by to close to your face, but take a look at the specialized deviant. Plenty of face clearance there.

I'm in between a small and medium so I chose the small. The medium was just a tad wobbly. I wore it around the house for a week so the foam could conform to my cheekbones and now it fits perfectly. The mouth guard is close which makes using my CamelBak difficult. Other then that, it's a great inexpensive helmet. AHH also, the chin strap is a tad too far back so it rubs against the front of my neck, it kind of chokes me if I have it too tight.

When the jaw comes in very close to your face the backwash of used air can be a major turn off wearing certin full faced lids when huffin & puffin

people can argue all they want, the Specialized Deviant is an ornamental FF lid at best
it offers modest jaw protection, and is better than nothing, but false confidence in protection doesn't do much for you over the long run

Maybe because the Remedy fits better, has massively better venting, and the jaw guard isn't as close to your face. Oh, and it's cheaper and comes in nicer colors.

I have a TLD SE moto helmet and a Remedy ... I wear the Remedy 90% of the time on my DH bike and my moto. SE only comes out when it's really cold outside or I'm racing the moto.

How about one of those 661 full bravo full face helmets. That's what I have. Decent vents and roomy. Just a thought.

I went for the Remedy because of fit, comfort, protection and ventilation, I tired on a deviant as a lighter day helmet dam it was uncomfortable for my head, ruled it out straight away, I think the carbon would fit the same as standard but always try one on all heads are not the same, it get my thumbs up, the TLDs look nice but for real world riding Im not convinced, I get too hot too easily.

    Remedy for me

I use a medium fit is awesome, my bud has a large and its very large!

Yeah, that's what I meant, sorry if I wasn't clear. Large Bell = Medium Remedy
