    What are my helmet options ?

    I think full face would be too much, and i'm not crazy on the design behind the typical visored biking helmets.... are there any other styles out there ?

    I'm kind of digging this style here;

    theres a 20 % off helmet sale at EMS currently, gotta strike while the irons hot !

    **notices irony in saying i don't like the visored helmets then linking a visored helmet**

    whatever fits and protects your noggin will work. I'd look for something vented though or your head will get pretty hot.

    I ride with a Pro-Tec BMX/Skate helmet. I find it way more comfy than a mtb helmet and I ride BMX, too. I use it for snowboarding sometimes as well.

    Man, its been said a million times on here but it is the truth. Get what fits and what is comfortable. If Bern or Pro-Tec is what you are comfortable in, then more power to you. I sweat like a whore in church playing the organ so I prefer more vents but I loved my pro-tec when I would kayak. They do sit very well on your head, so if you like it then good.

    Helmets look odd on everyone but since everyone has a helmet on, those without look odd. They are worth every penny when you take that unsuspected spill and bounce your head off a bridge or root.

    i like the design of the bern and some of the protec and fox helmets linked, Being able to use it for snowboarding would be added incentive
