my gloves have 3 of 5 fingertips cut off. they're actually my Fighting Gloves (fighting billfish and shark and other big game fish, mind you), made of aquatic suede and work great on a bike as well! they keep your hands dry and have excellent grip. they also prevent blisters.

full finger. wanted gloves with less palm padding and most of the half-fingers had piles of gel padding, they're a lot easier to get off, they aren't any hotter than similar half-fingers, and I get better grip on the brake lever.

Next pair will have less mesh on the back though (to protect my vitiligo spots from burning) and I might even look at options outside the realm of "cycling" gloves. They will definitely be full fingers though

Full finger. I wear them for protection. Half-finger are for comfort, that's why they typically have all kinds of padding.

Half finger gloves are for MUPs on really hot days. Full fingers for everything else.

Sometimes with DIY insulated mittens inside....
Otherwise, full finger. Half is pointless and annoying to remove.

FUll finger/ no padding. Fox Incline. I like some protection from branches and such also the extra grip. I tried riding without gloves for awhile but once my hands sweat I started losing grip.

My gloves are made from the fat liposuctioned from slightly overweight celebrities to lazy to work out. Such as Star Jones, Oprah, Rosie O'donald (her fat is the padding), J-Love Hewitt, Kelly Osbourne, and for the final touch Joan Rivers.

    Full Finger, SANS padding.

I thought all mountain bikers wore full finger??
it only takes once to fall and shred a digit to know why half finger are for roadies..................... and guys in the gym who wear Harley t-shirts and wear work boots while pumping iron

i don't know what's worse: wearing floves made of lipo'd fat, or knowing which celebrities have actually had liposuction.

I wear Fox Digits (full finger) cause they were on sale for $12 and looked decently cool and fit pretty well. I prefer the full fingers as long as they aren't super hot. Prefer to keep my fingers relatively clean in case I get something to eat while out on my bike and sometimes like to climb trees and don't want a bunch of sap sticking to my fingertips.

Trolling again Mr Beam? It's called an interface with your bike. I know it's three syllables but heck, you're a smart guy. BTW, did you ever get the squeal out of the brake on your Rig?
