what body armor should i get?

I was hoping to get some feed backon shin and knee guards. I have only recently taken up downhill, and i am in the market to buy my shin and knee guards. I was hoping someone could help me out by giving me feed back on what you already have. I am actualy pretty close to buying the Fox Racing Raptors. If anyone has feed back please let me know

    Body Armour

I can highly recommend the following:
KNEE = Troy Lee Designs - these are super tough, don't move, are comfy and breathe
ELBOW = Azonic - see above, the best thing is they don't move around on you
BODY= Rockgardn - just got the upper body suit and it is perfect, great fit and it stays cool. Also it doesn't rub your nipples off like the Azonic suit (which is still good, but not as comfy)

God luck, stay away from 661 and FOX - they are single stiched and fall apart after a few rides.

I just got a pair of Race Face/Roach Rally FR pads. So far with only 1 ride on em, they seem to be pretty nice. Comfy and the XL is actually long enough for my chicken legs. Had the kona lauch pads before, and they are junk in comparison. Have the rockgardn flack jacket for racing and stupid hucks. also have the kona launch pad elbow pads wich arent so bad, helps to keep warm in the cold and cuts off the elbos.
