    What about a Clothing section?

Any interest in a Clothing section?

The thing is, the kind of clothing you need depends on a few things:
    - riding style, covered by XC Racing, DH/FR, AM, Dirt Jumping, Commuting, etc. forums
    - your climate, covered by the Regional forums

Sure. And within each group there's fast and slow, short and long, etc. And there's a lot of cross-application, a lot of cross-over, among topics.

But having them broken out is still helpful. (Altho I sometimes think that having a thread able to be flagged to run in multiple topics would be handy. But that's another subject.)

The various needs/uses would seem to get easily sorted out in an Apparel section.

...But I see the point. If you're going to use a helmet for all kinds of riding, just pick one kind to post your helmet query in... That works. But a section that included lots of helmet chat would still be kinda cool (an Apparel section). Maybe?
