I wear a Gore Bike Gore-Tex rain jacket works beautifully.

I have an older version of this jacket that I also use for road cycling in the rain. It's packable enough to fit in my back pocket or even in my large seat pack. The older version I have has enough room for some thin elbow pads if desired. Great jacket IMO.

Nice, mine is the Element Gore-Tex Active Shell, I wouldn't say mine is packable in the back pocket type but since I always wear a backpack for MTB rides its not an issue for me. Been in the rain, body stay dry and breathable fabric certainly helped.
