TLD Ace vs. Fox Attack Ulta

None of the local stores carry either of these so looking to you all for feedback. I live in Texas where its hot and dry. Which of these shorts is the most comfortable for extreme hot weather XC and Trail riding?

Open to other suggestions and where to buy online too. thanks!

You might check out Endura Hummvee Lites. I have two pair and they have been great for hot days. Have had them for about 18 months and they seem to be holding up fairly well, despite their light material.

I wound up getting the Fox Attack Ultra and I'm not too impressed. The liner short is the equivalent of a really Lowe end short and the outer part is about as high tech as low end running shorts.

I have tld ace and skyline shorts and fox indicator shorts. The latter feel somewhat cheap as you mentioned.

    The former feel much sturdier.

Got some white ones recently as well from cambria for 70 if I recall correctly including liner.

I have since added both the TLD Ace and the Spesh Enduro shorts. Both great shorts. The Construction and design on the Ace is top notch bu the fit certainly makes it XC oriented. Actually fits pretty snug and I'm slender.

The Enduro short is decidedly --well, Enduro. Not designed quite as well as the TLD. Pockets especially. Runs a bit large in 32 too.

Recently did a six hour IMBA epic (big bend) and opted for the Fox outer with TLD liner.

Tld ace are heavier, may not be best suited for hot weather. I have them, but wouldn't recommend.

TLD Skyline's are great, love wearing them. I have fox indicator, too. Skyline is the better one.

I agree with Elbastardo, but would suggest looking at the cheapest Yeti shorts. I have them in gray. They are really light, stretchy and the pockets are mesh.
