Hay there! Anyone out there in the icy northeast still riding. The woods have been great. Studded tires and metal spike golf shoes (assuming you're riding w/flat pedals) have been working fantastic. If you haven't "cleated-up" your clipless yet, try finding some of those metal spike golf shoes. They're "Oh so fashionable" and most glofers are throwing them away, if they haven't already. The trick is to find at least a size larger so you can fit in those bulky (warm) wool socks. Otherwise, you can pre-drill and hex head several lugs on your clipless shoes.
No bugs. No mud. Cool temperatures (to say the least). Can't cross country ski...try winter biking.
