specialized swat bib differences or other option

    hi ,

I have a specialized bib atlas xc with pockets in my bib (swat system from specialized).

my model is like this one:
    https://www.specialized.com/us/en/ap...th-swat/104496

I'd like to buy a new one and I saw that ther is a pro model:
    https://www.specialized.com/il/en/ap...th-swat/114219

who tried both model and can explain me the differences?

also, I'd like to know if other brands sell product like specialized's bib with storage option.

    thanks for your help.

This thread is just a short scroll down.

    SWAT
    VaporRize™ moisture transfer mesh fabrics

Five SWAT integrated pockets, patent-pending construction

    Fold-over leg cuff

    Body Geometry Mountain Chamois

    10" inseam (size medium)

    SWAT Pro
VaporRize™ moisture transfer knit fabrics keep you cool and dry, while providing ample support and structure for loaded pockets.

Patent-pending construction with eight SWAT™ integrated pockets provide ample storage for all of your trail necessities.

Fold-over leg cuff prevents pinching and discomfort by providing an even, low-volume, and compressive fit over the leg.

Body Geometry Pro Mountain Chamois is light and breathable, while the chamois effectively relieves pressure on the soft tissue and encourages proper blood flow.

    10" inseam (size Medium)

Pro has more writing describing mostly the same features. Pro has the pro chamois and 3 more pockets.

I really only care about the pockets on the back so the regular SWAT is next up for me. I don't like or need a thick chamois.

personally I think the chamois on the lower level SWAT bibs is terrible, so if I bought another pair it would be the Pro. the pro also has a waterproof phone pocket, but looks less breathable than the mesh on the cheaper ones. I've got a couple pairs of a Giro liner bib with 3 back pockets that I reach for ahead of the swat bibs. the chamois on the Giro bib is much better but the pockets are smaller.

Are the Giro pockets high enough that they can be used with an outer short?
