South Mountain Arizona helmet cam action.
A vid I made from a few runs down Geronimo trail on SoMo.
It's just my first edit and am looking for ideas. I plan to mix up the shots better but with 51 of them in the vid its tedious.

My vimeo version which I think is b etter quality

Don't take this the wrong way, your vids are very good, but you asked for ideas and opinions, so here goes:
Video NEVER shows how steep or core a trail is, only those who have ridden that trail know what it's like, so toss out any concept of "showing the trail" to someone that doesn't know it and make the video to entertain your viewers (and yourself).
If you do that (toss that concept out) you can edit the video clips out of sequence, because you no longer are trying to just "show the trail in perfect sequence."
Find the music that you think fits best to your "concept" and lay down the music first, than edit the video clips to the music.
Most people edit all the video clips together and put a song over it at the end, what you are left with is a bunch of moving images with a song playing in the background (to me not very entertaining).
Try to match to "feel" of speed in the clip to the tempo of the song.
Edit clips on tempo and beat changes in the music.
It sucks to have to do, but don't be afraid to "just not use" shaky or bouncy helmet cam footage (it just makes your viewers want to barf and/or not watch you video).
Try something with "chamber the cartridge - rise against" or "ace of spades - motorhead" or "bring the noise - public enemy"
Sure they have all been used in mt. bike video's before, who cares, or pick something new.
Sometimes I edit video's to two or three songs/versions before I settle on one I like best.

Really nice work. I think the music is excellent and pretty smooth video work. Keep up the good work, it takes alot of time and effort to entertain us mountain bikers
"Im just going to explore a little bit..."
Dont make me be the bad guy...
Do I need a pass to ride this trail?

Thanks folks ! I love the year round riding AZ provides. My next videos will improve trust me . I am new to the video thing and am only getting 320 out of my 520 cam because of my 8 year old capture card and software.
Havoc ... thanks for the constructive critism. Hpwever I didn't sequence the shots as it jumps around and goes from the bottom back to the top a few times . Although the last 2 sets of shots I edited did come from the same runs. Also I did my best to gather the best shots out of 4 different runs down the trail leaving out the real shaky stuff . But I get your point as I have had other cam systems which always produce 100% no useable footage. Maybe if I try frame or bar mount I can get steadier shots on Somo's rockier trails.

Great trail, awesome video! I wished we had trails like that here.

Looks like an awesome descent! thanks for the vid
-
Definitely a bit smoother than the footage my Tony Hawk helmet cam and Oregon Scientific ATC capture!

Yeah I found that my lense wasn't tightend so it added to some of the bouncing.
Here is a short clip from yesterday while I was messing with mounting options besides the helmet.
