    Snowboarding Helmet for Downieville?

Any thoughts on using a snowboarding helmet (non-full face) for Downieville? I want to use my goggles when I go up there (my eyes are very sensitive to dust) and I can't wear my goggles with my normal mtn biking helmet. I don't want to buy a full-face biking helmet.

    Will this work?

It's only a snowboarding helmet if you are going to be snowboarding, right? Otherwise, it's a very protective mtn. bike helmet that works great with goggles. That's how I see it.

Probably depends on you riding style. If you're going full speed all the time, then yeah. IF not, a regular biking helmet would do.

If you can remove the fleece lining on the snow board helmet then yes. Otherwise you'll cook you noggin. A cheap skate lid works with goggles too but poor air flow.
But even a lousy downhill run is better than a day in the office!

Thanks for the tips. My snowboarding helmet doesn't have a fleece lining and resembles more of a skate helmet. I've tried wearing my goggles with my bike helmet but it doesn't work. Sounds like I'll just use my snowboarding helmet.
