Fox helmets are re-badged Bell helmets. Bell are usually much cheaper.

the Giro helmets are nice, but fit very different than fox/bell. if you tried a flux and liked how it fit, you might want to try a Bell

Why would this make him a hater?

all this aside, there are no bell helmets similar to fox helmets... at least not on the 08 lineups

Giro Xen $79 at Wheelworld. I have a flux and it fits me really well. fit and finish is very nice. i like the way the Giro visor attaches better, its stronger.

Same company but very different shapes and fit. I worked at a shop that carried the entire line of both helmets they certainly fit different. Bells never fit my head properly but I own 3 giro helmets that fit like a glove.

I'd also like to see some back up for the Fox helmets being re-badged Bells. I'm not saying it isn't true or anything but I'm just sayin...

I'll second that. I was looking at a Fox Flux (because I can get a discount) to replace my aging and smelly Xen. I love the way the Xen fits but the Fox Flux doesn't fit my head right. Apparently njhcx4xlife has similar head shapes. I'm not saying one is better than the other but for me I'm getting another Xen.

i own a flux and love it, hardly a hater.

i read on the forums about being made by bell (i believe it about as much as you believe me)
but it does fit EXACTLY like a bell IMO

It's been mentioned but I use a Spesh Instinct and love it. That's only if you don't mind feeding the 800lb gorilla . I like their helmets though, have a Deviant for shuttle days but have been using it on colder XC rides and it works wonderful!

Looks nice. Any more info?? There's nothing I can see on their website...

    Thanks.

To the OP - the Bell Variant gets good feedback. But the only real answer is get whatever fits best!

3 weeks ago the Fox Flux saved my life, I crashed downhill, over the bars landed on my head (helmet). Concussion, 3 compressed and fractured vertebrae. 1 neck c1 and two back t1,t2. med vac to er, 4 days in ICU, The helmet flattened and the inner foam liner cracked. it did it's job, saved my life and I have full control of my limbs. Will I buy another? I may get another Flux or try the Giro Xen, that is if I decide to ride mt. bikes again. I'm not feeling downhills right now.

    I agree.

Bell lids fit me very well but Giro's do not.

I have had a Nemesis an Influx, an X-Ray and a Sweep XC
