    New question here. Shoes, shorts...

I'm back ona back after a twelve year hiatus and I love it!

Can anyone recomend a good source of BIG shoes. I wear a 14 wide in Nike sneakers. Hows about shorts?

I had gastric bypass this spring. I'm finally light enough to get back on a bike without breaking it. I haven't been under three hundred pounds since 1994! I frickin love it!

    Shorts, Shoes

I wear a big with regular nylon shorts over the top. If that is not your bag Borah makes a good short. LL Bean is another place to look. SIDI dominators come in that size and my LBS has a clearance pair in US size 15 so look around

I use the Mt. Borah Borah-Plus Men's Beartooth Short. Very comfy but they're expensive.

I have size 13.5 feet that are somewhat wide and was shocked to try on a Sidi recently that was much too large. Let's just say that doesn't happen too often. Pricey, but nice.

On the other hand, I think the new Oakley Alloy MTB shorts are the bomb and relatively cheap at $65. I had just about given up on baggy shorts for riding after Nema ruined the Crown Jewel shorts, but I like these as much or more than any baggy mtb short I've tried and I have not had to give them so much as a tug in an entire day of riding, not to mention I haven't snagged them on the nose of the saddle either. I will be getting some more of these.
