    Shoes In The Road

Lately I have noticed a large number of shoes in the road while on my commute. Not in a pile, nor together in pairs either. Just one shoe on the side of the road. A little while later, another. These shoes are of all shapes, sizes and condition. So what gives? How do people lose just one of their shoes in the street but not the other?

I've often wondered the same thing.

I never put things on top of my car.

Maybe a lame copycat of BC's litter of floating runners, sans disarticulated feet.
If you happen to see my lungs back there, tell them I've gone on ahead.

I have wondered about this for years and that is the most plausible explanation I have ever heard.

    Hah that is nothing...

On the BC west coast they keep finding shoes on the beach, thing is there are feet inside of the shoes...

Sometimes a left foot sometimes a right foot, but only one and a time, and the feet are not related to each other.

I was just in Vancouver two weeks ago and remember seeing that on the news there. Strange indeed.

The shoes may be left there by someone whose thought when leaving them there is "Dude this is really going to screw with someone's head so much they're going to ask about it on the forums..."

I too used to wonder this...

One night, I was getting chauffered home after a long session at the bar. The shoes I had on hurt my feet all night long. About half way home I took 'em off and tossed them out the window one by one....

I have never seen a shoe on my route. I have scored a couple pairs of work gloves that have fallen off of the random ranch truck though.
You have no excuse for driving to work
(unless you don't have studded tires)
    (no excuse for that either)
