C1rca Appleyard MA402's. Hands down the best shoe ever for non-spd apps. Ok, well thats just my opinion, but hey, it's a good opinion.

I can't just say they are the best shoes ever without reasons, so here are some. VERY well built, these shoes can take tons of abuse, my last pair took a whole year of riding and workin in the bike shop. Thats everyday wear and tear. I finally retired them, but if needed they could be ridden again.

They are really comfortable shoes, lots of padding in the sole make this shoe stiff enough to curb nasty pedal pains but still lets you have a good feel on the pedal. The tread patern is very nice and grippy, it mates well to all the pedals I've tried it on but really seems to like designs like AtomLab AirCorp and Welgo B-27's.

Style is key, they look good, lace up tight, the tongue doesn't dig into your foot. Yeah, I think these are the perfect shoe.

I just got 2 new pairs of the 04 MA402's and they feel just like the 03's but they have better leather outers.

Vans are nice and cheap. The Rowley XXL or whatever they are called work really good. Especially with their waffle pattern onthe bottom of them.

    is making a comeback.

Turns out that five years of not mountain biking, really makes one strive to get back to it.
