    risking a dumb question

my wife uses raceface kneepads, which do not have removeable padding and use velcro straps. can these things be washed in the washing machine without damage? if not, what is the appropriate/safer way to wash them without damaging them or the velcro straps?

I would just close all the velcro straps and wash them.
    air dry
